 I reevaluate my personal memories for moments that greatly affected how I interact with others. I reconstruct the racial, southern, and domestic upbringing I, and past generations of women in my family have had, and place it in a new context. Advocating for discussion about the psychological and physical fight against misogynoir black femmes are constantly in both outside of and within their own communities. I am creating a platform for discussion for black femininity in predominantly white spaces as well as creating a vehicle where my audience can make connections of representation, or lack thereof, in their own youth and how that affected them.
